Into Proto is Luis Elenes
Luis is an engineer, entrepreneur, business owner, and product development consultant. His love for applied engineering, prototype development, and small business concepts is borderline obsessive. The attraction to create value greater than a sum of individual parts directs Luis in his engineering and business pursuits.
Luis’s 21 years of professional experience spans the landscape of product development – from driven individual contributor to successful business owner and more. This diverse background enables Luis to listen to and meet each client’s individual needs with a broad experience base and to tailor unique solution for unique clients.
Luis has owned and operated Mogomoto Prototype, LLC (MMP) since 2007.
MMP has two independent businesses - BETA Shell™ protective cases and Into Proto Design Services. Luis also works part-time as an independent contractor providing concept development and design services for a wide array of consumer based products. Luis’s past clients range from fortune 500 companies to independent inventors and start-ups.
Previous employers include Exxon-Mobil, Hewlett-Packard, Simplexity Product Development and Tarmac systems. Luis has also worked as a consultant on projects for clients such as Nike, Illumina, OHSU, H-P, Microsoft, Gura Gear, Ossia, and other smaller companies.
In 2010, Luis founded BETA Shell™, a small product company that provides patented protective cases for photographers, videographers, and various transport applications of sensitive equipment. BETA Shell™ is in its 9th year of operations with customers that span the globe. American made BETA Shell™ protective cases provide unique transport and protection solutions for equipment into some of the works harshest environments – they have been reviewed and praised for their unique and effective design and construction (betashell.com)
